Brian Hall is a photographer whose passion is the natural world. His earliest photographic expressions surrounded capturing images of large predatory animals at the local zoo with his first camera, a gift from his grandmother. He is inspired by the natural world and travels to places meeting people and seeing wonders in the wild. Brian feels honored to see these treasures in person and is thrilled to create images that others may enjoy. The goal of Brian’s work is to focus on the need to conserve our natural heritage for future generations to enjoy.
Two of Brian’s recent subjects are Southern Alaska and Brown Bears. Brian was fortunate to visit Katmai National Park and stay at Kulik Lodge (Alaska Fishing and World Famous Bear Viewing - Katmailand and Angler's Paradise Lodges) on the Alaska Peninsula and to Travel aboard the MV Discovery with discovery voyages (www.discoveryvoyages.com) on Prince William Sound. These were both once in a lifetime experiences.
In the last two years Brian has been blessed to travel to Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, the Caribbean and to Alaska. He has been given the opportunity to increase a focus on the natural world and hopes to be able to continue to do so.
It is a priority of Brian’s photography to insure ethics and integrity into the process of imaging. All photographs are wild animals unless otherwise stated. Attempts are made to list the locations where photographs were created. Where photographs are displayed of captive living things they are titled as such. All image content is true and the only corrections to images represented here are done to insure color accuracy or to remove dust imperfections.
Brian lives with his wife Heather and son Nicholas in St. Louis County Missouri.
His family is his inspiration.
“I hope to be able to pass on a record of what a beautiful world we live in to my child along with the value that all living things are important and deserve respect."
