Peony #1

Here comes my yearly peony series. Most images were taken with the Canon 20D with 70-200 IS lens. There should be many varieties this year, instead of just the ones in my yard.

Comments always welcomed.

Beautiful work Pat. The exposure and contrast on the whites is superb. This reminds me of a stellar nebula as have several of your other images. This is an exceptionally fine image.

Great details Patricia. I like how the light brings out the textures in the petals.

Beautiful lighting. I love the texture you have in the whites. I have been waiting for your peonies because I remember how beautiful they were last year. So far this is one of my favorites.

Simply elegant, Patricia. I really like how you're able to get the delicacy of the petals in your latest images. Excellent lighting and comp...

I am glad Patricia, well deserved. In my comment I appreciated the photographic quality but now I see that there is more: an amotive feeling from the light contrast on the shining snow over the petals. Brava!
Cheers.
