Orchids - another view

by Nathan Buck

Hi all.

One more side view of the orchids that I recently shot. I liked this look, especially how much the flowers blend in to the BG.

Please be brutally honest, all thoughts appreciated.

Neat image Nathan with nice coloring. There may be just a bit too much blending for my taste; my eye is not quite settling on anything. Nevertheless, it sure is different, and that is a good thing.

Nathan, I love how you are constantly experimenting. You come up with some unconventional images that usually seem to work. Another fine one. Well done. :toast:

Great use of high key effect to soften an image and give it a wonderful glow. This is beautifully done, Nathan.

Superb, Nathan ! I love the play between the stem and the tiny islands of red on the petal tips.

Again I will be brutal Nathan: I love this photo! It's difficult to be creative with an orchid but you did it very well. Bravo!
Cheers.

Hi Nathan:
This is superb. Very worthy 'Pick of the Week'. Unfortunately a family illness hasn't allowed me much time to participate but things are looking up here and besides spring is coming so I hope to be participating fully soon.
