Comp is nice. Technically this is very very good. I'd like to know what equipment was used and the exposure. I almost certainly assume a macro lens at a very small aperture. ... Also, what about your background and lighting. I'm just starting to play around with some indoor shots. I won't even use the word studio. All I've got so far is some foamboard. Any tips?

I'm drawn to this shot by the composition. It is excellent IMHO. Calla's are difficult for me to get anything interesting. This is more than interesting, it is technically superb, provocative and visually interesting. Great shot

Really, really nice David. Wonderful comp, lighting, white treatment, detail. I like the way the spadix (Uh Oh, the botanist in me just came out ) peeks out of the spathe, evoking a sense of mystery. Nice job!

Boy! There's a lot to look at in this image, David. Splendid exposure/ processing for the whites reveals so much texture, including all the lines. The petals look especially graceful and I like how you've positioned everything in the frame. This is a masterful image.
