Bumblebee on a flower

I love Macro photography! I took this image with a Canon 20D and a Canon 100mm Macro lens. I saw the flowers repeating the muted colors in the background against the bright yellow of the bee and changed it to a vertical in camera for composition.

Excellent! The colors and bahavior are wonderful. I'm looking at it sideways,, then upright, and wonder if I prefer a horizontal.. ?

Beautiful detail. Nice use of the background to complement the entire image. It would be interesting to see what this looks like rotated 90 CCW

Hi Lisa,
Very nice find with the bee hanging down from the flower. You have captured a nice array of colors. My only suggestion would be to run this image through a noise reduction program to at least smooth out the background.

Congratulations Lisa. Your choice and handling of the subject and background make the image work very well indeed.

I like this shot a lot! The pink in the background makes it look like watercolors.
Greetings!

Fantastic image! My only suggestion would be to run it through Noise Ninja or one of the other excellent noise-reduction programs out there. Otherwise, it's a great capture--colorful and action-packed.
