Wild Ass Sanctuary, Little Rann of Kutchh, India

1D2N, 500mm+2x, tripod
f/11, 1/800, ISO250

I made a trip to western India recently to photograph migratory birds and resident mammals. The Green Bee Eaters are resident birds but they do move down to warmer parts of the country in the winters.
All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

Love it Satie. Great pose with the bird on the right side of the perch to show the whole body and interesting tail, wonderful colors, background is nice, perch is interesting with those thorns and the detail on the bird is top-notch. Very nice shot.

Lovely image Satie. Nice pose, light and background. Like that perch too and bug in the bill tops it off. But the name of the Santuary did throw me though

Beautiful capture and great timing! The background really works, too. That's one photogenic bird!

I really like how the points of the tail and beak mimic the spines on the tree.
