I shot these trees in Jackson , Wyoming because the backlighting was so handsome. I applied a bit of posterization and rough pastels to the original.

It really glows Pamela. You had a solid photo to begin with and the filters are the final piece.

Cool, crisp air. That's the feeling I get as I gaze at this image. Very pretty and I like that you've kept the sense of height by not cropping the trees. Wonderful fall colors, as well.

Younes,
Technically, this was one of those happy accidents you never anticipate. I was killing time at a pitstop after shooting a sunrise of the Grand Tetons. I had my 75-300 IS lens on (not a very good one) and was firing off handheld snapshots at various settings. In other words I was playing around This particular shot I was zoomed out to 235mm in aperture priority set to 29, ISO 400, which resulted in 1/30 shutter. Everything done wrong in theory but I liked the look of it on playback and decided not to erase.

Pam I love this image , it's almost as if this forest is on fire with colour. I love the contrast of the dark trunks. I would love to do a painting using this as a reference if you would not mine. Please feel free to say no! Cheers, Lorna
