Fall is my favorite time of year, but so far the leaves haven't changed much here in Indiana. In order to be a little creative, I placed a Maple leaf that had fallen in our yard on a mum arrangement and decided to make a still life. I like the colors and warmth of fall, so I'm hoping this one represents my interpretation.
This was taken outdoors on a cloudy day. It had just rained, so there was some water on the mums. Equipment used: Canon 350D, Canon 50mm f/1.8 II lens, tripod, 100 ISO, f/22, 1/8 sec.
I adjusted the saturation with curves in Photoshop and added a very slight softening to the mums only using the Power Retouche Soft filter.

It shows imagination in the face of adversity, and that's just what you need to succeed sometimes!
