Head of a Drill-Bit

This Rose reminded me of the grooves on the drill bit head. Just 3 petals forming those curves here. Due to night temperatures being on the colder side, there is still some dew in the mornings.

Nikon D200, 200mm Micronikkor, F/16, 1/10 Sec, ISO200 and Tripod.

As always your thoughts are well appreciated.

This has a wonderful feel. Dewy mornings are great. I think the vast empty space on the left could be eliminated. There are nice color transitions shown there, but that isn't really the subject. I think a vertical of the right side would be more direct.

Beautiful for me! The drops are so small, they look like diamonds. Very original version of the classic «flower with drops» (I have done it).

Soft, beautiful, and abstract, Ram.

I really like the coloring and fringe of dew.

Great job.

Nice placement of the 'bit' Ram. Nice handling of the shot as usual. I like the dew.

What a lovely photo, Ram. The colours, the depth of field (f/16?), and point of focus are really nice. I envy your ability to focus right on the edges of the petals and water droplets. (I'm still practicing but have not yet got it.)

Drill bit? how about the leaves swirling into the heart of the rose!!! Just teasing, this is a great presentation, love the shrpness of the drops of water on the petals which is in contrast to the softness of the petals.

The only thing I disagree about on this image is its name. This is just too nice an image to be called a drill bit! Wonderful detail in the water droplets and I like how the focus fades to emphasize the flowing lines.

Exquisite, Ram. Love the dof you chose. The "drill bit" analogy is a bit industrial for this delicate looking flower and soft warm color. But I see what you mean. The comp is perfect, imo.

Thanks everyone. I do appreciate the comment on cropping from the left. I do see some merit in it.

Ram: A crop on the left would be OK but I much prefer this as is. A wonderfully seen and presented image. Bravo. >=))>
