Polar Fox bringing kill to its cub

Hi all,

Sorry for not participating in this forum lately. I had graduation difficulties and my computer broke down. Finally I am able to post some shots again so here goes.

As I haven't gone out shooting mammels for a really long time here is a shot from Spitsbergen last year. We were waiting for the parents to come back and suddenly there was one of the parents with a fresh goose chick. One of the fox cubs cheerfully ran to its mom/dad and took the kill back inside. It was amazing to witness.

Thanks for watching,

Amazing behavioral shot, Krijn! Great to have the little one running to the parent! Who actually looks like he or she needs some food itself.

This is fantastic. A realy great shot to illustrate the behavior. Having the cub in there puts it over the top. You should be very proud of this. Keep it up.

Krijn,

Totally agree with the others, excellent behavioral shot. I'd be tempted to tighten it up a little by cropping in on the left to the rock and maybe a tad bit off of the top to tighten in up a little, but those are nits. The eyes on the mother are stunning and the Gooses leg really helps in identifying the Kits meal :toast:

This shows how harsh life in the wild truly is. Good documentary photograph, and the fox cub is a bonus.
