Maybe this image is cliché, but it's the first bee I have centered on a flower in my files. This gal is bee busy doing her thing on what I believe is Sweetbriar. Compositionally, I wish she was facing 1:00 instead of 11:00 but it doesn’t bother me to much. The flower was backlit so I used a bit of fill.

D200, 105/2.8 @ f/22, 1/30 sec., 20mm extension, cable release with a slight crop off the bottom.

Beautiful shot, Will. The detail in the bee is outstanding, and the colors are very nice. If anything, this looks a tad cool on my analog monitor, but maybe this is just a blue reflection on the thorax and eyes?

I agree with Bill's comments , this image is so beautiful and the colours are so soft and subtle , a real stunner.
