Photographing the Slots

Taken of my husband in Antelope Canyon last month. An overcast day provided a wonderful diffuse light for the slots. We had a great time and had the slots to ourselves for sometime. By the way, we recommend Antelope Canyon Tours if you go that way.

Appreciate any and all comments as always.

Hi Dehra,
love this picture!
I've seen a lot of images of this place but I think that the inclusion of the photographer make it stand out from the rest.
The tones and shades are really beautiful

Dehra: I'll ditto Emanuele's comments. I've never visited the slots. This makes me want to go. ><>

Texture and color are wonderful Sharpness right on. I like the placement of the photographer with his head placed just right in the curves of the canyon walls.

While this type of shot has been done quite a bit, but what hasn't, this is a fine example. I might crop most the hot spot out at the top, or at least burn down the highlights in that area.

But this is a very inviting photo. I also like that your husband is wearing muted colors. It really makes him stand out but in an un-obstrusive way.

Excellent shot.

Really well done. I'll add that the sharpness does really stand out in this. Great colors and composition. Great to see your work.

I'll add my "congrats" on your wonderful image! I think we've all seen our fair share of slot canyon photos, but this one is really special. Your compo is fantastic, your husband gives scale to the canyon and, of course, the colors are lovely.

Well done! Thanks for sharing.
