Wasp having termite snack

While hunting for butterflies, I came across this wasp that had just caught a termite for lunch. Looking at this creature, I am glad it is this small, imagine these creatures were 100 times bigger, we would be doomed!

Vincent

This is actually a really great shot of a wasp-mimic robber fly. The little orange halter behind the base of the wing is one of the things that give it away. :wavey:

Hi Vincent, I am certainly relieved to find that you have not passed away. I had no idea you had deserted us for the itty bitty gallery. But since Kay called me to look at your absolutely fantastic image here, I have to say you may have met your calling... this is wonderful! I really don't know that much about this type of photography, but Kay and I both don't see how this could be any better.

Vincent,

Not the most appetizing snack but great composition, detail, and color exposure.

Congratulations on EP, Vincent! This is a very deserving win!
We've already raved about this image and the award couldn't happen to a nicer fellow.
