Good one Rick. Wondering what you used on this. As a novice I’m trying to get an idea of what I need to take similar shots.

Well caught. You've framed all elements very well. I never knew you had tulips in your area (assuming "your area" means Mt. Hood area )

Great catch! The light is delightful, and what really makes it for me is the mountain in the background. I would think you could sell this one to a card company, especially a local one. It is publishable.

Rob,
I shot two exposures...one for the sky and one for the flowers. I used levels and curves to bring the colors to life without oversaturating them.
Timothy,
I couldn't do a horizontal version because there were telephone poles and other stuff just outside of the frame which took away from the message.

To human flowers, one red and one white, among endless stripes of vegetal flowers red and white. The luck helps more the best photographers! Beautiful too.

Kevin...this is taken from the Woodburn Tulip Farm...AKA "The Wooden Shoe" A google will get you maps to the place. I'd get out there ASAP...it's getting close to the end of the season there.

Absolutely Beautiful, Rick! I see this as a cover for next year's tulips festival brochure.
I wonder if the tulips have kept their beauty after our weird hailstorms the last few days. I wanted to make it back down to the Wooden Shoe one more time this season. I stopped by with my point and shoot after a meeting in Corvallis a couple weeks ago, but it was very overcast that day. I didn't realize there was such a beautiful view of Mt. Hood from the gardens. Very Cool! Congrats on the EP as well

Rick,
I like the idea and the composition.
IMO, the flowers are over saturated.
