Taken today south of Hinton, Alberta; it has snowed a ton lately. I cropped a small amount off the top where the hill crested. D200, 70-200 @ 120,1/500,f9,+1.3,320iso.

Awesome! This is a beautiful shot, there is nothing about it I don't like, if it was mine it would be on my wall.

Excellent and I almost thought it was taken from a helicopter. You had a great vantage point, I assume from a hill or looking across a valley. Wish I was there.

This is an interesting shot and knowing it was shot near Hinton/Jasper, makes me wish I was there. I love it up there, and this photo captures the "wildness" of the area. Cool shot! What an unique viewpoint, too.

An amazing image Gary. Love the trace of the trail in the snow. I like this kind of image where in a viewer becomes part of it rather than stay outside to critique it. This one is full of life. Not sure whether you had an option to better balance the composition - we take what we get in the wild. Thanks for sharing.

I'm with everyone else! This is a special image. The tracks indicate how these guys fall right in line and follow each other and I find that interesting. It's images like this that inspire me to think outside the box.

I like this a lot. i'd like to see the deer less centered, though, with perhaps a bit more of the interesting trees on the right.

Very pleasing....but for my taste the deer are a bit too centered in the frame. Perhaps a slightly wider angle would have worked better, placing the deer more to the far left and showing more forest in the upper right.

Hi Gary, this one works very well. It's one of those images that on close examination is quite powerful. Good work.

Beautiful Gary! I like how you framed (I'm not talking about the black outer frame). The slight crop from the top to eliminate the top of the hill no doubt is an excellent example of how framing a shot can create a mood or impression. Here the climb looks endless and pristine - a pure slope of fresh snow to have a new trail cut through. Very appealing. Some would like more of the trees, but I would only want more trees in this image if you had more snow too. I think it is the expanse of unbroken snow with the single trail that makes the image.
