I just got back from a weekend at Donna Nook (UK). The weather was just excellent, as was all the action at the beach. Here's one of my favouritew couples, completely covered in sand. Thanks to Peter and Wendy for such a wonderful weekend.

If you're interested in photographing these seals on the East coast of brittain take a look at the new website http://www.WildImages.nl where we provide photographers from all levels the oppertunity to photograph these beautiful animals during one of our wildlife photography workshops.

I have never really thought of seals to be overly photogenic or exciting to photograph, but the blowing sand and actions of the seals make this a nice image.

Hello Jasper,
I agree with the complimentary things already said about your seals image. This is nice. For a guy like me, who's actually more interested in zooligical taxonomy than I am in the technical specifications, I'd really appreciate knowing the species name if it is known to you or anyone viewing this. Thanks.

Just love it! The clean background works really well. I only have an interaction shot like this with the sea as background.. and it's quite distracting.

I had a wonderful weekend as well!

Great moment Jasper. The sand in the air and the moment of interaction between the seals is great. I particularly like the composition as well.

I think they are Grey seals (Halichoerus grypus). Good job capturing a fleeting, playful moment.

Jasper,

I too never considered seals as photogenic animals.

I stand enlightened and in awe.

A very nice capture.
