Taken on my latest foray to Rocky Mountain National Park with one of my old friends from campsite 149 in Moraine Park CG. Essential gear for me is NPN beanie/cap, vest with NPN patch and my knee pads. I don't leave home without them. >=))>

John: The self timer did the deed. I sprinted to the site with about 3 seconds to spare. As for wearing the knee pads inside the pants, I suppose that would be OK but then the pants get dirty and worn and you miss the opportunity to make a fashion statement. I have a set of purple ones too but they are for special occasions only. The "friend" is the old tree. He has offered me many interesting comps over the years and never seems to get tired of participating. He's host to a family or two of wrens in the summer. Quite the accomodating sort. >=))>

Nice to meet you Bill. I've used knee pads myself but they are not nearly as fashionable as yours! BTW, is this the tree I've heard mentioned before in Hollowell?

Wayne: No, this one is in Moraine Park just below campsite 149 in D loop. You can get Long's peak in the BG as in this shot

Nice to meet you, Bill. I can't count the number of blurred images I've taken because the pain from kneeling on something that caused me to switch positions just as the shutter release is pressed. Dim bulb that I am, I never thought about bringing along a pair of knee pads.

Hi, Bill! Good to see you! So you're the tortured Flora Forum Moderator.... I don't know how you do the pick every week, so my hat's off to you. Thanks for runnin' a super forum! Thought sure your portrait would be your nose 2" from a flower. But hey, this is good, too!
My pads are red and uglier than sin, but my knees are so grateful! Where did you find purple ones??
