This beautiful old juniper resides along the path to Skyline Arch. Based on the looks of her, she lost her needles a long time ago but she still stands proud.

I posted this in ES&S several months ago, but only the monochrome version. The color version doesn't do anything for me!

I think I remember it too. Perfect for this challenge!! I like the way the rocks frame the tree.

I love the color hue you employed here, Bret. It adds a lot to the scene. The rocks do indeed nicely frame the tree, as Alice mentioned earlier.

I was thinking of trees losing leaves for winter. I like that you thought of lost and gone forever. This is a very beautifully shaped tree.

Just an excellent capture of this old bare tree Bret. I think the boulders framing it gives it a perfect setting here. :wavey:

This is great Bret! I love the comp and the toning is perfect. The FG and general ground scene is what really puts this over the top for. I love exploring the bushes and twigs, etc. Congrats on a well deserved EP.

Beautiful placement in the scene Bret. I also like the B&W treatment, I find it very fitting. Congrats on the EP.
