Color At Willow Lake

Finally some fall color! This is a small lake in my neighborhood. Nikon D-70, RAW, processed with RAW Shooter Essentials, technicals not recorded (does anyone know how to preserve the technical data from this program)??? I'm just starting to learn RAW processing and need all the help I can get!

Ooh, that's got a wonderfully romantic air, all brimming with light. I feel like I'm looking at part of a huge old painting. I guess that would be my only nit --I can't help feeling that there ought to be more of it!

This is really nice. All the color but without the harshness. Very pretty.

really beautiful, Alice. lots of detail. The light in the front and leaves on the water really make it. :toast:

Alice,

I love the misty painterly look to this image. Very well done. Even thoug it is not tilted, it does seem to lean to the right.

I can see the slight lean which can be easily corrected.

"This is really nice. All the color but without the harshness."..sums it up perfectly.

Thanks.

This shot seems to have such a surreal quality to it Alice. I just love how it feels.

What exactly is your question about RSE? I use it all the time. You can see the EXIF from your camera toward the bottom of the frame when editing. Are you wanting to have the particulars of your adjustments to the shot?

Really nice. Great light. Your compositional choice is great as well. The little bit of red reflected in the LLC works very well and adds that little extra that balances the composition.

I was also thinking "painterly". I love the warm palette here.

Love it

The "S" curve to the shore line, the dried reeds at the bottom right-hand corner providing a good focal point, and the warm feel to the image...

This is extraordinary! What a perfect combination of light and color. So subtle and mysterious. I agree it has the feel of an oil painting.
