Swamp Lilly

I came across this Swamp Lilly while paddling through the swamp a couple of weeks ago. It was the only one I spotted all day long, and it was well hidden under some low lying branches. It took 7-8 attempts before finally getting a keeper as the current and wind made it quite impossible to keep my canoe still and steady.

This is my first post in the Flora forum - please let me know what you think with honest critiques and appraisals.

I think it's absolutely amazing! You got great clarity for a handhelt shot. Very graceful flowers, and the reflection adds a nice touch.

Bill you're in that boat again  This is a good shot, I like the contrast and the reflections. Well done.

Very lovely, especially how some of the petals are submerged. I like how you've used the swamp water to advantage here.

Thanks for sharing!

Golly Gee Bill, this is absolutely GEORGEOUS!!! Excellent exposure and composition. And your subject is truly a specimen. Amazing shot for hh in a moving canoe.
If I had to critique, and I am ambivalent about this, I wonder if a crop would be an enhancement - from the bottom to just below the center reflection that breaks? But as I say, I'm ambivalent. The dark reflection is beautiful too and adds much.
Lovely shot!
