Assorted Flavors

This was taken two days ago after a winter storm blew into the area covering all the trees with a nice coat of snow. Most of the aspen leaves have fallen, but this stretch of trees remains. It was quite some distance away and the only easy access to it was via private property, so I just enjoyed shooting it from a distance. This was taken with my Rebel XT and my 70-200 lens. It has been cropped to a 4x5 format.

I love it - a great illustration of the changing seasons. I think you have some other winners in the last crop you linked to on CNP.

Very nice! I love the snow on the evergreens, and the muted colors in the aspens.

One of the more refreshing images that I have seen lately. The composition is perfect. Sugar coated candy. That is one way to reduce the saturation!

Good work. Wish it were mine!

Excellent! I've been waiting for years for it to snow while there's still leaves on the trees in PA, and it never happens! Love it - great comp and mood!

Yup, this was one of my favorites from your linked page Erik. I love the combination of snow and leaves. Way cool. Truth be told, my favoite range to shoot in is 70-210; scenics included.

Erik,

Very nice! The snow on the trees is a wonderful effect. I like the composition with the snow-covered pines in the background.

This is so cool~ It is like the two seasons are clashing together. Only one will come out alive . . . I'm hoping fall wins lol.
