Indigo Bunting
by Robert Royse
Here's a shot from yesterday at the Tri-Valley Wildlife Area in Muskingum Co., Ohio. It's a grassland area where I went to photograph sparrows, but I couldn't pass up pointing my camera at this unusually unwary bird. Unlike Garth's immaculate specimen from a couple weeks ago, this bird was already showing signs of feather wear with a few black areas here and there. Fortunately I got his good side here, but I did have to clone in some blue feathers at one spot.
