It was early Spring and the Bald Eagle that took off right over my head, with the mountain in the background, seemed to portray the definition of majesty.

HI Gary
The first time I saw a Bald Eagle was in Alaska while I was playing Army for two years. Your shot has great detail and coloring.
Nice work.

Excellent, Gary. You nailed the focus and exposure on the eagle and your ability to get so close and use such short focal lengths makes for some spectacular backgrounds. This is one of your best.

Excellent closeup frame, Gary. The eagle is very sharp, and the mountains and skies provide a spectacular backdrop.

I like the wider angle lens on this one Gary. It really provides a great sense of location and environment with the mountains more visible. Nice work!

The sharply-focussed eagle snaps nicely against the just-right out-of-focus mountains.

The large image is a must see. Excellent detail in the Eagle and having it against it the mountain really makes this a great shot.

And excellent combination shot of bird and scenery. The larger image is a must-see ! The Eagle almost seen to fly out of my screen . Love it! Cheers, Hans

This is very cool. I think you have done an amazing job with a wide-angle lens and probably more importantly, you are in the right place at the right time. I really like the effect here.

Very nice capture of this Bald Eagle. The mountainous background sets the bird off nicely against the native background.
