It is probably anthropomorphism, but the plunge ahead into water by the fledgling Common Gallinule, stubby wings all akimbo, seems such a joyous thing! I enjoyed just watching both siblings plunging unafraid through the water. Hope you like it as well. Be sure to check out the large image!

I love the action and the pin feathers on the wings are really cool, Phil.   Anyone who doesn't believe animals can experience emotions and enjoy themselves hasn't watched them very much.

Fine catch of the action, Phil. The stubby wings and huge feet of this youngster make for s fun shot. Even the adults can have trouble taking flight,  so it's obvious that this little one's got a ways to go devil

Sweet image of the youngster, Phil. Great angle with the uplifted wings and the half-open beak. I can see the delight in its face.

Phil

I prefer to think they do have emotions!  My dog sure does - just ask her.

As to this very cute photo:  Great capture with the little immature body and the splashing into the water.  You have captured a moment that must have been fun to watch.
