When you fire off some shots of a hummingbird, you never know what positions the bird will provide during the session.  This guy was preparing to barrel roll and head out behind the flower. D500 600 mm f4 (Manual mode: 1/200 sec at f16, Iso 800) 5 flashes set at 1/32 power; Levels, Shadows & Highlights, DeNoise, Brightness & Contrast.....................................Jim

Great pose and excellent detail in the hummer, Jim.  To my eye, it looks like you could brighten the bird a bit.  Your setup is getting better with a lot more three dimension look to it.

Wow, you're really perfecting your technique!
This is excellent - great pose, beautiful flowers, good light.
I agree the bird could be brightened up a bit, and I'd personally remove the OOF flower in the lower right.

JIm:

I like the pose. It is always fun to catch them doing some really crazy stuff.  I've done some slow motion video recently and have watched a head shake pattern that seems pretty consistent.

I think your lighting is getting better, but still a bit monotone for my tastes... Each of us varies.

I'd move the background light further away to darken the background.  Agree with the other comments that the hummer needs a bit more light.  I tried to re-create in PS what I'm talking about.  Not quite what I think is possible via the lighting, but at least an example.  See what you think.

Jim: the turn was unexpected, but the result is delightful. You might consider brightening the bird a bit as well as darkening the b/g. Richard

I like the detail in the hummingbird and the background is good.  The repetitive vertical aspects of the subjects make for an interesting composition.

You have become quite the master at these multi-flash hummer shots, Jim. This is a fine image of the hummer with a splendid background. I really enjoy the contorted pose. Second others' thoughts in that I think you can add more saturation to this.
