GBH singing in the Rain

We have been having pouring rain and flooding here in the Northeast New England area. I was driving down a main road and saw this guy on someones front lawn/driveway. Got out of my car and was able to get some photos.

Wow, that's a downpour! Please send some of that rain out west or down south to dampen all the wildfires that are devastating so many homes and areas.
A nice catch, and something different - sure hope that isn't hail that is beating the heron. Hail has killed some zoo animals recently.

I love the heavy rain and the pose of the Heron, Norma. I do wish the boundary between the pavement and greenery were above the head instead of right at the jaw line, but given the conditions, this is still a really cool image.
