I took this photo of the bud from a near overhead position using the built in focus stacking feature of the camera. I liked the curving nature of the buds, the detail that was captured and the hints of pink. Olympus E-M1 and 60  mm lens at 1/80, f/8, ISO 200, tripod  and sequential flash. Richard

Richard: Nicely seen and captured. I like the anticipation of the buds just on the verge of blooming. Would be a worthy subject to follow. >=))>

Definitely worth going back for a later look. I like the current simple comp, details and freshness of the impending blossoms.

Excellent bunch of buds, Richard. I like how the subjects stand out in the natural surroundings. Nice detail and spotlight effects, and the fact that it doesn't look overdone on sharpness, which gives it a pleasing look.
