Sunset over the mountains and the Valdez Bay, Valdez, Alaska.  You can see the Valdez Marine Terminal at the base of the mountains if you look closely.  This was actually a test shot I took right after I got my Sony a6500.  Sony bragged about its 5-axis motion compensation so I thought I would try it out.  It was pretty dark but I went ahead and set the ISO at 100 to intentionally require a slow shutter speed.  The end result was that this photo was taken hand held at a shutter speed of 1/13 sec!  In the full size version you can clearly see sharp details on the buildings at the Marine Terminal!

Here's the full specs:  Sony a6500, SE1670Z @ 16 mm, ISO-100, f/4.0, 1/13, hand held.

That is incredible to have taken that at 1/13 second! Wow.  I was just reading what you told someone about the 100-400 lens you use, and how you don't use a tripod.  The images you take with this combination are super nice.  I rarely use a tripod; it just does not work when I am crawling through the woods and struggling through the swamps!  I also end up using my 100-400 lens on my 5d mkii much of the time, because there is no way to get any closer to my subject, so I am doubly impressed with your sharp images.

What a wonderful sunset making for a beautiful scene with the mountains and water. The reflection adds a lot and the cool / warm color combination is really nice. Nice work Gary.
