Yellow Warbler

After a few days away with no decent photographs, I had a delightful couple of hours in my blind this morning, with three new birds coming in and some nice images of some old favorites.  This is the first Yellow Warbler I've gotten at the ponds and it gave me a ot of nice opportunities.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, tripod with ball head and sidekick, f/8, 1/500, iso 1600, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1 1/3 EV (More than I needed with this background, but I'd just been shooting against a much darker one and didn't change).  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to 13.6 MP.  Taken at 8:19 am under cloudy skies.

Your comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks,

Great shot of this little guy, excellent detail and background and nice placement in frame.

Wonderful composition and pose.  The detail is superb.  The variety around my place has dropped off significantly.  I haven't seen a single Warbler or Yellowthroat in my yard this whole summer.

Excellent pose and detail. The head is just a tad soft. Might just need an extra bit of sharpening

Hi Dennis
I like the coloring, framing and the way the Warbler pop's out from the back-ground.
