Observing the Observer

A Sea Otter, clearly focused on me as I focused on it.  I was sitting on a big boulder on the beach as it paddled by on its back, eating muscles.  It suddenly realized I was not part of the normal landscape and came to attention to investigate whether or not I was a threat.

Sony a6500, FE100400GSM @ 400mm, ISO-250, f/8.0, 1/1250, hand held.  More to look at if viewed large.

Hi Gary,

I like those ears  on the sea otter. I would try to work up those shadow areas slightly.  Other than that, a fine image..................Jim

Great techs and I love the nose-up attitude.

Nice shot, Gary.  There's some nice texture in that wet fur.
