That's a pretty up close and personal portrait of this little guy, Jim. I think it could benefit from a touch more space below if usable down there, just my thought.

Nice close-up look at the swallow.  Nice background, though blurred still conveys the bird's environment.

Lovely image, Jim. I like the background a lot and the direct frontal lighting eliminated any shadow problems.  Very well done.

Really nice pose and perch.  Good color and detail.  I like the head turn.  Pleasing background. I am okay with the current composition.

Very nice shot of the Barn Swallow, Jim.  They are beautiful, but if you have a porch (as we do), they can be very messy.  We had a time trying to keep them from making our porch their home, but finally won the battle.  They can be quite messy on a front porch!  They are really cute, and if it wasn't for the mess, I would have welcomed them.  I like everything about this shot, by the way.

Swallows are so hard to capture but you sure got this one, Jim!  The exposure is excellent with great detail in the darker feathers and eye plus the detail very nice, especially in the large version.  Well done!
