This was my favorite bird from our Costa Rica tour. It was a lot bigger than I expected and I was able to make a nice close up at one of the places we stopped in the Sarapiqui Valley which had a banana feeder.

Nate, I really like the larger version here. So interesting to look at a bird you have never see up close. You did a very good job with this close-up. I can see why it is your favorite bird.

A beauty, Nate! Not only an exotic bird (to me), but an image well taken and processed. For a relatively dark bird, the plumage detail is impressive!

Great closeup portrait of this beautiful bird. I too have never seen it before. Very nice detail and color, and that nice soft background, making him stand out nicely.

Real nice portrait with superb detail and background. Wish the dark feathers were half a stop brighter but the brown and black plumage has a wonderful richness to it.

Great bird I've never even heard of.Nice pose, and love the detail, colour combinations, and that bright eye.
I'm not fond of the black frame that NPN automatically adds - if you want plain white (which I use and think looks better) type "ffffff" into the colour hex box.
