Sunrise in Fellows Riverside Gardens, Mill Creek Park, Youngstown, Oh. Taken this spring. Nikon 18-35 @ 18, 1/8, f22, iso 400, tripod, CR, GNDs (HH). This is actually my first image post at NPN in over 6 months. My 2009 Imac died. I eventually replaced it with a macbook, and I am intending to get a new monitor, but for now, I am processing images on the macbook. I am unsure of the results, so this is kind of a test post. Comments welcome. crying

Hi Scott, welcome back.  This looks great.  A lovely collection of flowers, an inviting gazebo and a fine sunburst.  The colors look good (on my 2011 iMac...), especially the subtle early morning colors in the sky/clouds on the right.

I'm debating with myself about replacing the iMac with a new iMac (the 5K retina screens look amazing in the store) but I also have a 2017 Macbook pro for traveling and hook it up to a 24", 4K Dell monitor when we're in Montana.  That set up works well and the "internal" color calibrations on both the laptop and the Dell monitor look good, so I haven't felt a strong need to buy a color calibration kit.

Thank you, Mark. I debated long and hard between getting a new Imac with the 5k screen and getting the macbook, I went went with the macbook figuring I could add a 27 monitor. I certainly am enjoying the portability of the macbook, but I sure miss the 27" monitor. Just so busy right now that I don't have time to get a new system set up.

A beautiful scene and the sun with the sunburst is a nice bonus.

Welcome back, Scott. Bummer about your iMac. The early morning light does a wonderful job of showcasing this inviting garden scene and the sunstar looks great and is perfectly placed. My only suggestion would be a little more contrast or saturation as the image looks a little flat. Good luck with the Macbook.

The processing looks fine on my monitor, Scott.  Nice to see you posting.  I like your composition a lot here.  My only issue with the image is that if it were on my wall, the crooked gazebo would drive me nuts.  I suspect it's the effect of the wide angle lens and I think you can fix that in post, but I don't have a clue how, since I don't usually do this kind of photography.
