Which is what I remembered the theme as-that's what aging memory cells do to me.  Anyhow, I thought this hummingbird buried in the Monarda fit that theme, so I'll go with it anyhow-at least for now.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, tripod with ballhead and Sidekick, f/8, 1/1000, iso 1600, aperture priority, pattern metering, -2/3 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Full frame.

Comments and critiques are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Dennis, this is a fine catch on the hummer in it's "natural" enlightened environment.  The clean look at the hummer's eye and the clarity of the Monarda that it's visiting make a fine image with the surroundings adding a fine sense of the complete environment.

Really nice capture here, Dennis. The humming bird is sharp and the catch light in the eye is a great addition as it brings the bird to life. Beautifully done.

Nice colors of those plants, I had not heard of them before.  Like the sharpness of the hummer.  Together they make a very pleasing image.  thanks for sharing.

This is a very nice image, Dennis.  I like how you caught the hummingbird among the flowers and with such good detail.  Well done.
