Another from Custer State Park--lots of gray sky, fog, and rain.  Of all the Western meadowlark shots that I took, this one is my favorite.  Most of the time, they perched on bike racks and road signs and this shot was the only one that fit the bill for wide open space found in the American West. This one was along road 5 which suffered from a burn about a year ago.  K5 IIs 300mm f4 (1/400 sec at f10, Iso 800) Denoise, Curve adjustment on Midtone Luminosity Mask, Crop for comp..............................Jim

A lovely composition, Jim.  Placement of the Meadowlark works very well and I like the scattered rocks.

LOVE this!  Excellent comp, meadowlark pose and detail.
The rocks so perfectly "arranged" are icing on the cake.

A nice composition.  I like the pose/placement of the meadowlark on the rock.
