A vignette was used to soften this dahlia portrait.  Taken with Canon SX60, F5.6, ISO 400, 1/400 sec. +0.7 exposure comp.

Great to see you composing and posting your masterpieces again! This is exceptional - perfect shaded colours, perspective, and detail.
I think the black frame kind of overwhelms it, though, and I'd personally choose a simple,  thin , matching dark pink line around it.

Hi Sandy.  I agree the black does not work.  It was automatically put on by the NPN upload.  I'll have to check on that setting for the next upload.  Thanks for commenting.

Wonderful painting feel to this one Patricia.  Lovely light and soft colors.  Perfect DOF.

Hi Patricia

This is very lovely , like all your art.  Great detail and nice placement of the center.  One teeny little nit- maybe lighten that gray spot in the upper left hand corner?  Easily done.  I agree with Sandy - nice to see you posting!

Patricia: Just 4+ fantastic! Beautiful color palette and the vignette works great. Superbly crafted image from capture to presentation. >=))>

PS: You can edit the site GB if you know the hex value for the frame. Perhaps a very light gray would be more subtle. >=))>

Sweet and nearly perfect, though I might clone out the darker area in the upper left corner, or lighten it. The vignette works very well for this one. I love how the intense color is in the middle and gradually fades out.

A light vignette.  Great idea and it goes perfectly with this image.  Might have to try this sometime.

Hi - to change the black border to white, type  "ffffff" in the colour hex box before submitting the image.
If you want another colour, look up the HEX COLOUR CHART on the Net, and use the numbers provided for other colours.

One of your best, Patricia. I agree with the comments about the border and the gray triangle near the NW corner.
