Juvenile Jurisdiction

This juvenile Bald Eagle definitely owned the air space when it launched right in front of me.  It was a reactive shot and I got it all in the frame but it was clear over on the left side.  I considered adding some space on the left but then realized that it just begged for a square crop.  Let me know if you think that was a good decision (or not).

Wow Gary. Fantastic aerial shot.  The detail is amazing, especially in the large view.  Great clouds in the BG too.

Gary:

I think your square crop works.  Of course I haven't seen the original, but as presented it seems to work OK.  Nice detail and a nice pose.

The square crop looks like a good choice tome, Gary, though I'd probably have added a touchof canvas on both the top and right.  However, it works fine as is.  I really like the looks of the eagle.  Well doen.

Gary, great detail in this, particularly for a reactive shot. The background is great, and I think the square crop was a good decision. You have just a little more space on the right for the eagle to fly into, which is nice. Very well done.

Gorgeous detail and wing position. The BG clouds add a lot. Excellent!

Gary: your decision was definitely a good one. The diagonal that the bid forms fills the square beautifully. It's the best shot of a juvenile that I've ever seen. Congrats! Richard
