I'm having a lot of fun with the new camera body and was able to get a used SB800 flash. This guy was checking me out and I used a fairly wide open aperture and some fill flash set at -2ev for the photo. D500 420mm (300mm f4 + 1.4xTC) (1/80 sec at f6.3, ISO 800).......................Jim

Excellent detail and a great pose, Jim. You must have gotten pretty close to get this little guy with 420 mm. Well done.

What a cute little character Jim. Nice focus on that intense eye and slightly uplifted beak. Very nice BG too. Amazing how they can hold on to a completely vertical tree like that.
