A Larger View

Hi Folks,
Here you can see sidehill farming at its best.  It almost looks like a golf course, but with more sandtrap than green.  In fact, it's just a very late spring planting in the Palouse.  This is the last or next to last image from my trip to the Palouse.  This is a different composition of the same view as Palouse Browns, but pulled out so you can see where those undulating browns reside.

As always, I appreciate your feedback, suggestions for additional process, and your comparative votes for various images from an area.  I have improved remarkably over the last 5 years or so, and a lot of that is a result of everyone's honesty and insight.

The pano composition works well.  The large image is a must see.  The colors are so pure and  the grass so perfectly groomed that it almost seems unreal.  The Palouse is just such a grand and gentle place,  it is definitely on my bucket list.

Marylynne, I've really enjoyed looking through your Palouse series, there's something about undulating hills that is both restful and thought provoking at the same time.  This particular image, more painting than photography, is one of my favorites.  The inclusion of  sky and green patches of vegetation add much interest to the scene.

A very unique graphical, abstract photo, Marylynne!  The panorama was an excellent choice for me as it emphasizes the vastness of this groomed landscape.  You absolutely have to view this in the large version where you can clearly see the textures and details.  Nicely done!

This is really well done! A great abstract of a scene that isn't abstract. I am really enjoying the shapes, lines and colors. Most enjoyable!!!

Marylynne, your golf course analogy is to the tee.:).  I sure wouldn't want to be playing there since I was never any good at sand traps!  I think the image is breathtaking.  The colors, textures, and contours are gorgeous.  The composition is balanced and perfect thanks to the pano choice. This is a winner.

That is a very beautiful landscape shot Marylynne exquisite natural colours and a gorgeous weighting to the relative space occupied by your available palette of colour hues in this very beautifully cropped panorama.  Truly excellent and a real hang on the wall large image.
