Another of the Orchard orb weaver. In my last Bill Fach suggested more detail in the web, and I completely agree, although not possible for that one. So this afternoon I attempted to get the web in decent focus. This little guy has a really nice web design, and I liked the colors of the defocused BG. Full frame image about 3 1/2 feet away from the spider.

7D2 100-400 II @400 on Wimberley I, ISO 400 1/40 f8 +1/3EV

Bill, this is a classic orb weaver web, with the central area, a gap and then the main web.  The dof looks great, with the spider nicely sharp and good web details.  The background is lovely.

Very fine color in this image, as well as great detail.  I would like to see the spider larger in the composition.  Thanks for sharing.

Bill..love these spiders as always. yes inclusion of the web has added to the frame. Fine detail on the spider...
