Mew Gull Fighting a Foe

Canon 1D X, 300mm x 2.0 TC, handheld
f5.6, 1/500, ISO640

Taken through my triple pane office window, so not as sharp as I'd like. The male was having a long quarrel with his window reflection two floors below me, while the female waited patiently for him to come to his senses. I blame the testosterone.

80% of full frame. Slight sharpening.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

Cute scene.  Fits well for the the topic.  Maybe a tad more room on the top and left.

Neat catch, Jim.  I've watched a Robin repeatedly knock himself silly fighting his own reflection in a neighbor's glass door, but couldn't get a picture.  This captures that idea well.  Having the female there adds well to the story.

Well Jim, I think we can safely say now that you will win this week's WP. It was a difficult subject because there not many of us choose to shoot nature as a window reflection.

I like your idea here as a way of meeting the requirement. It does tell a story very nicely and the composition is good. The bisection of the bird with the orange frame adds intrigue to it. Is the bird inside or outside?

Yes, testosterone is responsible for almost all of the world and life conflicts.
Great entry!

Cool shot Jim. Testosterone will do that to a fellow.
