Osprey

This is probably the closest I've gotten to an Osprey, perhaps 30 yards away.  The perch is a metal post used to rope off an area of the beach in Cape May for breeding of American Oystercatcher, Least Tern, and Piping Plover.  I removed the rope attached to the post.  I took this just as the Osprey started to take flight.

Canon 7D Mark II
Sigma 150-600 at 500 mm
1/1000 at f 6.3
ISO 125

Thanks for looking.  Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Nice head on shot of this female osprey Allen.  I love the intense look in that eye.

A tiny perch for an Osprey, Allen.  I love the pose and your exposure and detail look perfect.
