Canada geese are common and one of the most commonly photographed birds.  So. I decided to come in real close to one that was happily munching on shoreline grass at Sylvan Lake.  While her mate hissed at me, she continued to munch and occasionally came up for air between swallows  She ate like a pig and she has no qualms about breakfast as being part of the wardrobe (lol). I cropped a little from the left and I may need to add a little canvas to the right, but I'm happy with this shot. Excellent portrait, Jim.  I've photographed these, but they are a tough one to make look interesting.  This does a nice job.  I think I agree that a tad more on the right would be nice.  I'd also taper off the grass blade so it doesn't quite hit the edge of the image and pull your eye out.  If you don't mind a bit of cloning, you might want to remove the gray blob above the forehead-my eye keeps getting drawn to it.
