Sandy, I love the beautiful design feature and texture of the Pelican. The yellow eye certainly defines this weeks challenge spot on.

Hi Sandy,

Your technique with flash photography is excellent.  The eye shows up well with the catch-light.  No nits heredevil.............Jim

The yellow eye makes this a great image for this week's challenge!  The pose is wonderful.  The sharpness and detail are excellent.

Beautiful bird, artistically captured.   Amazing detail in the feathers show well against a black backdrop and frame the "spot of color" eye.  Great pick for the Weekly Challenge.
