Bluebirds Interacting-Resubmit

Good Morning!  The bluebirds are beginning to get pretty active in our yard.  In fact, they have been dive bombing the mockingbirds that are pretty feisty themselves, but the bluebirds are now nesting in our nesting box.  Anyway, I was able to capture this shot this morning through our window with my Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 300 mm L lens at f6.7, 1/750, ISO 160.  Edited in Lightroom and NIK software, just basics, and cropped to 76% of original.  Comments and suggestions are welcome.  Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers!

Nice interaction, Sandy. And fine timing to get good poses of both.

Lovely interaction Shirley, and terrific that you got both birds with their wings extended which adds to the composition nicely. devil

Wonderful interaction shot Shirley, I am seeing a bit of what I would guess is a sharpening halo all along the breast and belly of the bird on the right.  In terms of settings I am surprised you were able to stop the action so well at 1/750 of a second.  I rarely take bird photographs below iso 400 so I can keep the shutter speed high.  That being said it worked out very well anyway here.  devil

Thank you, everyone.  Nate, I really appreciate you catching that halo.  I missed that one!  I am attached the edited version and ask that you let me know if this looks good.  I think I fixed it.  Just wanted to let you all know that there was a war between the mockingbirds and the bluebirds this afternoon, and I had to run outside to save the female bluebird.  She has a couple of ruffled feathers, but seems to be okay.  The mockingbird had her down on the ground and the male bluebird was attacking him to save her.  Brave little guy.  All are still sharing the yard, but I don't think either is happy that the other is there.

Excellent detail and I love the relative poses, Shirley.  I think I'd remove the greenery in the lower right as It doesn't really add anything to the story.  A very good image.

Great interactive shot Shirley. I love your stories too.  Isn't it nice to have such interesting neighbors?

Excellent interaction, with wings outspread and eyes visible.
I'd saturate the blue in the birds and the red breasts a bit more, and perhaps a bit more contrast.
Fine image!  devil
