MachuPicchu Mists

by Jan Bostelman

Gallery: Man & NaturePosted April 9, 2018363 views4 comments
Location - Peru MachuPicchu Rainy/Drizzly Day February 2018
Equipment - Nikon D800, Nikon 35mm Lens
Settings - Manual ISO 400, f9, 1/125th sec.
Techniques - Timing of shot had to coincide with mists as they carried through the peaks. Shot in f9 to get both details in the distance, and close up as well. But not too much detail to overpower.
Have printed this image on pearl metallic paper to give it an even more ethereal effect.

Very dramatic image Jan.  I like your selected composition as well.

WOW, missed this one Jan.  Haven't see this view of Machu Picchu before, much, much better than what I normally see.  The clouds and mountains are special and the foreground brings it all in perspective, well done.  Congrats on the WP.

Impressive view from the top, or at least, near the top of the world Jan.  Nice overall composition. I love the misty mountains and the strong tree.
