Into The Light

A big male black bear in the Great Bear Rainforest. The scene here was very dark. I had to use a very high ISO just to get the 1/200s shutter speed. The shutter speed should have been a little faster as the bear's motion is not completely frozen. However, I like the overall mood of this one. It looks as if he is stepping into the light from the dark depths of the forest. It really sums up the Great Bear rainforest's beauty and mystery. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Lightzone. Comments and critiques welcome.

I realize the low light was a problem, but I do wish the  bear was just a bit lighter in the photo.  The larger image does show better.
It would be nice if  the better had given you a bit more face, still shows the environment of the area well.  Thanks for sharing.

I really like this, Jerry, for all the reasons you described.  It might have even more pop if cropped a little, but is excellent as posted.
