Lovely interaction and the pose of the upper bird is fantastic, Ry. The whites look rather hot. For a shot like this using pattern metering, I'd dial in at least -1 exposure compensation and it wouldn't surprise me with that dark background if it wouldn't need as much as 2 stops.
