I spent a lot of time on the cliffs of La Jolla, California doing flight shots of Brown Pelicans when I visited there in the middle of this month,  Here is one of the many, many images I took.  Canon EOS 7D Mark II, Canon EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM at 170mm, manual exposure f/8 at 1,2000th, ISO 1000.

Seems like a rather unique pose.  Great detail and I like the high key effect.

Great wing position and detail.
I personally don't think that the square format is good here,It boxes it in (to tight).
I would like to see it with room to move as it has great potential.

Very nice Charles, I like the high-key look to this.  Also I kinda like the square crop you chose for it.  The wings are great, it appears as a strong graphic image that works pretty well.
