Through the open upstairs window during a snow fall. The Canon II doubler just isn't very sharp. There was a breeze so I had to go to higher ISO.

Canon 80D, 1/1600 s, f/5.6, ISO 800, EF 70-200mm f/2.8 + 2X @ 400 mm, CPL.
Raw file processed in LRCC. TK resize/sharpening for web.

Seeking any and all advice and comments. Thanks in advance.

Nice concept here, Ronald. I like the branches and the snow detail. I am wondering how a vertical pano with a slight crop off the bottom would work? I also like hints of color in the new leaf buds.

This a very simple, but very effective image. It tells a nice story about the end of winter and a hint of spring  to come. The depth of field is perfect here, and I like how your fast SS caught some snow flakes. Nice idea, and well executed.

I like the simplicity of the snow laden twig with the snow falling in the background.  Regarding the sharpness, have you tested the lens/doubler combo to see if it is front or back focusing?

Nice image of simple yet effective scene.  I might consider cropping that bit of extra twig off the top.  To try to get even more snow to snow up you might go just a bit darker, or try it against a darker background.  It's tough to get snow to look good; I have been trying to do it all winter!

Ronald, this view really captures last week's weather event, with the freezing rain changing to snow overnight.  The isolated, curving, snow covered branches look very good with the few drips of ice and the falling snow completing the story well.

This has a real charm; nice isolation. The falling snowflakes add a lot.
